Do I have to stay and help as a Parent?
All Parents and/or Guardians must accompany their Child, we do hope that you too would then help best you can on the day. If you are new to Little Athletics we can teach and help you.
Are State Events compulsory?
State Events are not compulsory, however we do encourage all our athletes (in the age group dedicated for the Event) to participate and to our newbies to come along and give it a try. The kids often love being in the big Stadium on the bright Blue Track. It is a fun atmosphere when you get together with many other Clubs on the day.

When the State Events are on at SA Athletics Stadium in Mile End, there are NO meets at home.
What type of Events does Little Athletics include?
Both Track and Field Events consisting of Running, Walking, Shot-Put, Discuss, Vortex (young ones) and Javelin (older ones), High Jump, Long Jump, Triple Jump, Hurdles
How long do the Meets go for?
Our Meets can go from an hour for our Tiny Tots upto a couple of hours roughly for all other Age groups, it does depend on our member numbers.
How can I Volunteer?

We welcome and encourage Volunteering, so please reach out to any one of our Committee Members for more information.

Without volunteers we cannot run our Home Meets or Events. Age Group Chaperones must accompany every age group, and parents need to assist with Athlete control, measuring and recording.

We are always looking for help in setting up equipment, packing away and BBQ cooking / Serving at our Home Meets.

Is there a BBQ and Canteen open at Home Meets

Every Sunday when we have a Home Meet at Reynella East College, our Canteen is open, and there will be a BBQ. Volunteers essential for this to happen.

What to bring to a Meet

Please bring your Athletes Water Bottle, a Hat and Sunscreen encouraged to be used. We have Sunscreen always at the Club in case you forget.
